Jason Carroll
World-Class Winemaker
Born and raised in Huntington Beach, California, Jason Carroll grew up with a love for the outdoors, spending his days surfing the Pacific coast, skiing in the mountains, and playing equestrian polo. His appreciation for nature, paired with a growing passion for wine, would ultimately lead him to Napa Valley and set the foundation for a distinguished career in winemaking.
Jason’s journey began with a simple desire to explore the art of making wine alongside friends. What started as a personal passion quickly evolved into a lifelong pursuit. Captivated by the unique intersection of science, artistry, and the natural world, he discovered that winemaking was far more than a craft: it was a calling.
Driven by a commitment to mastering his profession, Jason pursued his early winemaking education at Napa Valley College, where he began developing the technical knowledge and practical skills that would shape his career. He went on to earn a degree in Enology and Viticulture from the University of California, Davis, one of the world’s leading institutions for wine and grape-growing studies. His pursuit of excellence then led him to Bordeaux, France, where he deepened his understanding of traditional winemaking and earned a master’s degree from the University of Bordeaux.
Drawing inspiration from the vineyards of Napa Valley and the time-honored traditions of Bordeaux, Jason embraces a philosophy rooted in respect for the land and the natural elements that define each vintage. He understands that exceptional wine begins in the vineyard, where sunlight, rainfall, soil, and climate work together to shape the character and complexity of every grape.
For Jason, great winemaking is the delicate balance of precision and intuition, science and creativity, and tradition and innovation. Every vintage presents a new opportunity to work in harmony with nature, express the unique personality of the vineyard, and create wines that are both memorable and meaningful.
